Are past insurance policies details required while purchasing term plan

I am in a process of taking up a term insurance policy from LIC. Will I be required to disclose the details pertaining to my insurance policies irrespective of the fact whether these policies have been surrendered, paid-up or are still active? Somebody told me that I need to quote details like premium paid, claim received, etc. Is it really so?

An insurance company can ask for your insurance policies details but generally limited to your existing, i.e. active insurance policies only.
