Career in Book Keeping or Accounts

I am B.Com fresher. Is it worth to start my career as book-keeper and what will be my duties as book-keeper?

A book-keeper job involves preparing, controlling, balancing and checking various accounts using standard book keeping methods. Your job will require you to key in all the financial transactions related to the business in journal and ledgers either manually or through computer software. Maintaining books and generating a trial balance will entirely be your responsibility. With experience you can reach to an accountant’s position. As a graduate fresher, it is not at all bad to start your career with book-keeping.
