    The unmarried dependent student is supposed to earn a considerable amount, exceeding which he/she is supposed to file an income tax return. Any person earning more than 2.5 lakhs per annum in India is supposed to pay the taxes which are levied on the individual depending on the taxable amount of income. People or students who earn, below the minimum amount eligible for payment of tax can also file an income tax return in India. Even if there is no money to be refunded as no taxes were paid by the person, still the report of income tax reports can come in quite handy.
