How to claim Bima Gold LIC Policy after insured death

One of my close relatives had Bima Gold LIC Policy. Unfortunately, few days back, he died in road accident. Now, his legal heir is struggling to claim his assets but the LIC staff is not co-operating him. They are demanding case closure report without which they won’t give him the claim. My cousin is not able to get this report. How should he get the claim?
