    I have a salary account with HDFC Bank. For last one year, nothing has been deposited in this account. I wish to close it now. What is the procedure? Am I required to withdraw all the money before applying for it to be closed?

    Visit HDFC branch and take your cheque book and ATM card along with you. They will ask you to withdraw the amount in cash. If you feel that the amount is huge, then you can transfer the major portion of it to some other account before initiating the process of closing your account.
