I am facing problems in closing demat account with Karvy

I have a demat account with Karvy. I am no longer in need of that account. I have marked several e-mails to them and have even called them to close the account. Every time I get a same response from them ?clear your dp’. I am unable to understand why they are not closing my account?

If you are getting a response ?clear your dp’ then it appears as if you have not paid your annual charges on demat account. You will have to clear your dues with them then only the process of closing your account will be initiated.
