If an individual is an agriculturist, is his income taxable?

if an individual is an agriculturist then his/her income is not taxable per se. however, if he or she is deriving income from any other sources like income from property, or income from investment, then in that case then while calculating tax on those income the agricultural income of individual will be considered and taken into account, so that he/she pay tax at a higher rate on other income.
