Is it possible to sell equity shares without maintaining trading account with any stock broker? I have few shares in demat form. Is there any provision whereby I can sell these shares (allotted in FPO) without using trading account?

In such a case you will not be able to sell your shares in stock exchange. However, you can sell your holdings in off market to a person who is interested in purchasing them from you. But in that case, STT will not be paid by you and therefore you will be liable to pay capital gains tax on your gains.
