Is it okay if I open demat account with HDFC

I have savings account with HDFC Bank. I am interested in share trading and for that I need to open demat account. I have read many reviews for the bank’s demat account that they have so many hidden charges. The same kind of reviews were also there for other demat account providers. Is it okay to open demat account and savings account in same bank?

There should not be any problem to you in having savings account and demat account in same bank. Ideally a bank can not deduct any charge that has not been informed to you in advance.
