Is it safe to invest in HDFC Cash Management Fund

In order to keep pace with emergency funds, since last 6 months I am investing Rs. 2,500 monthly in HDFC Cash Management Fund ? Treasury Advantage ? Retail Growth Fund. But now I feel confused for this arrangement. Is it secure to invest like this or do I need to open a recurring deposit account for this? Please help

What benefit you will get by investing in HDFC cash management fund or RD? Do you think that in times of emergency you will be able to quickly withdraw funds from RD (specifically after banking hours) or will be able to redeem funds?
