Is it safe to provide Xerox of credit card

While buying HDFC click2protect term insurance plan, I checked credit card as premium payment mode. I have been asked to submit the Xerox of front side of my credit card. Is it safe to do so? Is there any other way to sort out the matter with HDFC?

In that case, you can provide a photocopy of the side in which your CVV number should not be there as this number is required for online transactions. In case you don’t want to provide them your credit card photocopy then opt for an auto pay bill registration on your credit card.
