Is it wise to surrender Jeevan Anand and Jeevan Saral

It has been 2 years since I have 2 LIC policies ? Jeevan Anand and Jeevan Saral. Sum assured for these policies are Rs. 5 lakhs and Rs. 3 lakhs respectively. Till date I have paid 4 half yearly premiums on both these policies. I took these policies for high returns. Should I surrender these policies? What will be the surrender value?

Endowment plans always yield low rate of returns and hence, should never be opted for investment purposes. Surrender these policies. As on date surrender value is zero.
