Is online PPF statement considered as proof for income tax

I contribute monthly in PPF account maintained with SBI. My preferred deposit mode is online. I need to submit a proof of PPF deposit to my employer for income tax purposes. If I download my PPF account statement in PDF format with SBI logo on it along with my personal details and transaction details, will it be considered as a valid proof?

Yes, this should go as valid proof. But if your employer demands actual proof of deposit from you then you will have to wait for uploading of PPF passbook by SBI.
