    Amit Kumar

I was interested in taking up mutual fund for 10 to 15 years time. But when I spoke to my financial planner, he said that if I take a mutual fund for that long, it will bring losses to me and a large cap mutual fund should not be held beyond 2-3 years. He further suggested to take ICICI prudential systematic retirement plan for 25 years. He said that this plan will be more beneficial than SIP in equity MF. Is he correct?

Your agent is only trying to trap you so that he can sell ICICI’s policy to you.
