Policy cancelled because of insurer’s negligence ? How to regularize it

Premium on my free mediclaim policy from United was due. I gave blank cheque to my agent. Unfortunately, the premium was enhanced in that particular year which was not informed to me. Due to this enhancement my cheque fall short and bounced and the insurer cancelled my 8 years old policy. I tried several times but they are not accepting their negligence. How can I get my policy regularized?

Write a complaint to the senior official or lodge a complaint with insurance ombudsman. If nothing happens and you have sufficient documents, you can also file a suit in district court.
