Responsibilities of Cashier in a private sector bank

If I become a cashier with private sector bank then what will be my responsibilities? Can I be held responsible for any cash mismatches?

A cashier is a very responsible position and it hardly matters whether you join a public sector bank or a private sector bank or any other organization. Cash usually mismatches when there is counting error on the part of cashier or there is a calculation error. In all cases, a cashier can be duly held responsible for negligence. He may also be asked to compensate the difference in ledger balance and physical amount.
