Should I renew my FD or invest it in MF

I don’t have any source of income and does not even need money in near future. One of my fixed deposits for Rs. 55,000 is going to mature in another 15 days time. I don’t want to invest this amount in equity mutual funds. Where should I invest this amount ? in fixed deposit again or in a good debt mutual fund?

Fixed deposit is the safest bet. You can also consider corporate deposit with a ranked company, i.e. a company with good CRISIL rating. It will yield you 12-15% rate of interest.
