    The main examples of the direct tax in India are: Corporation tax which is an income tax on profit of companies levied at a constant rate; Income tax is the tax on the incomes of individuals; Interest tax is the tax which is paid on interest income; Expenditure tax is the tax which is paid on expenditure incurred; Wealth tax is the tax levied on the wealth of individuals; Gift tax is the tax on gifts given; Property tax is the tax which the owner of a property has to pay on the value of the property being taxed. Stamp duty is a form of tax which is payable on the documents which are related to immovable property.
