If an individual person wants to purchase an immovable assets or property than in addition to the cost paid to the seller he/she is liable to pay an additional cost to transfer that immovable assets or property on his/her name. That cost includes transfer fees, stamp duty and registration fees. These costs are required for preparing the legal documents of the immovable assets or property for transfer of ownership from one person to another. In a normal sense this tax is levied upon the handing over the title of ownership by one person to another person. This cost can vary from property to property based on their value and this cost consists of legal transaction fee and stamp duty.
