The sales tax is a tax which is liable to be paid to a governing body for the sale of certain goods and services. The laws give a provision to the seller of the goods and services to collect the payable amount in relation to the amount of the sale for the tax from the consumer itself at the very point and time of purchase. Sellers are allowed to particularize the tax separately from the price of the goods or services or they can decide to include it in the price of the goods and services.
