Which will be more beneficial ? Chit funds or mutual funds

Since last two years, I have been investing in chit fund managed by my relative. Therefore, for me there is no risk and that is the reason why I wait till end for my turn to bid. But now I feel that I am not getting adequate returns from it. Please suggest will it be beneficial to keep investing in chit funds or should I invest in mutual funds?

I will recommend you to invest in equity based large cap mutual funds for long term. You can expect 12-15% return from them and they are tax free.
