Why NEFT towards PPF with Bank of Maharashtra has failed

I hold a PPF account with Bank of Maharashtra. Yesterday, for the first time I tried to pay my installment into this account using NEFT from ICICI Bank savings account, but the amount was again credited to my account and could not be deposited in PPF account. What could be the possible reason for it?

Are you sure you have quoted in right details like IFSC code of PPF account branch, etc. while making NEFT to your PPF account? Please check whether your PPF account is CBS enabled or not. If everything is ok, then please contact your PPF bank.
