Under old norms, a person can become broker for only one company. However, IRDA has relaxed this norm. According to new norms, a person can be an agent for multiple companies. There are two things in it ? one, you can become an insurance agent for different types of insurance and two for different companies. This will increase the gamut of products under your basket that you can offer to your old and prospective clients. This way, you can get more clientele and a chance to earn more commissions.
