Applying a loan in the city of property is advisable because of low verification and other costs. However, you can try to get a pre-approved home loan from SBI Delhi and after getting the approval can negotiate with them to consider it for Kanpur branch. If they agree, well and good otherwise apply afresh from Kanpur branch.
