By any chance, if a duplicate TAN has wrongly been allotted to someone, then that person can make an application for the cancellation of the TAN that has not been brought to use in the “Form for Changes or Correction in TAN”. This form can be downloaded from the official website, which is NSDL (http://tin.nsdl.com). It can also be printed by the local printers or attained from several other sources. This particular application is also available at TIN Facilitation Centres.
