Indirect taxes are taxes that one pays on almost an everyday basis. Indirect tax includes: Custom duties which are taxes levied upon imports and exports; Union excise duties are the taxes levied upon manufacturing goods and this is imposed by the union government of a country though it is collected at the time when the goods are removed from the factory; Service tax is a tax on producing services; Sales tax is a tax levied on sales of goods which are moveable and at the rates which vary depending upon the nature of the goods.
