Should I pay to builder or deposit in OD account

I have a loan from SBI maxgain home loan. I have accepted this option of getting indebted for an under construction property. Last installment is due to be disbursed by the bank. Currently, I am paying full EMIs. Every month I am able to save Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,000 after paying for all my expenses and EMI. I can either pay the amount to builder or can deposit it in OD account. Which one will you suggest?

In my view, you should deposit the surplus funds in OD account. Whenever, need arise, you can withdraw money from the account.
