Automatic renewal of SBI recurring deposit without my prior permission

I opened a recurring deposit account with SBI for 12 months. Before maturity of RD, I called the customer care to credit the amount in my account. He told me that it will automatically be transferred to my account. When I have checked my online statement, it has automatically been renewed for next 12 months. Since I am in aborad for an official project, I cannot visit the branch. Please tell me what to do in this case.

Redeem your RD amount online. If you worry about penalty charges on premature withdrawal then try marking an e-mail to your bank.
