Difficult sales target in bank jobs ? Is it true???

I have often heard people saying that these days banking job is all about sales and targets. How far this is true?

Well, if you join a bank, you will definitely be given targets to achieve. Even a branch manager has a target to work on. However, the targets depend upon the profile for which you have been appointed. CASA, Dmat, loans, credit cards, investment banking, etc. involves sales and therefore targets. Until and unless, banks will sell its services, it will not be able to earn revenue and profits. Not all but most of the profiles are about sales.
