Is automatic transfer from one bank account to another possible

Every month I have to transfer payments from one bank account to another. I find the system of automatic transfers, i.e. transfers with standing instructions very simple think to do. I am maintaining account with HDFC Bank but I have heard that banks usually don’t allow standing instructions for transfer of money from one account to another. Is this really so?

Who told you this? Banks follow standing instructions for transfer from one bank account to another. If you are finding any sort of problem with HDFC bank then I will suggest you to contact HDFC’s customer care for this.
