Is there restriction on issuing cheques from SBI OD account

I have borrowed housing loan from SBI (SBI maxgain). Representative of SBI told me that I shouldn’t park my surplus funds in OD account as SBI has stopped honouring cheques issued from OD account. I have a doubt on this. Has anybody got experience on this? Your information will be very valuable to me as I have parked a huge sum of money in this account.

Just chill! Probably the representative must be suffering from lack of knowledge or else trying to befool you. Last week only I issued a cheque from my SBI OD account and it was honoured.
