Need enlightenment on HDFC SL Classic Life Assure Plan

I am looking for monthly investment of Rs. 10,000. My financial planner suggested me to invest in HDFC SL Classic Life Assure Plan. Death benefit clause is clearly understandable to me but I couldn’t understand the condition if I survive the term period. I would request you to please enlighten me on this.

Please don’t invest in this plan. If you survive the term period, you won’t get anything back. It goes on the same principle of your vehicle insurance. In case of loss, you will get claim otherwise the entire amount of premium is waste for you.
