Will NSDL’s National Insurance Policy Repository be useful for me?

I have read somewhere that NSDL has launched National Insurance Policy Repository in which one can keep all his insurance policies in electronic form. It is similar to keeping shares, mutual funds in demat account. I have one term policy of LIC and a family floater health insurance policy from Aegon Religare. Will it be beneficial for me to use this service?

National Insurance Policy Repository is a helpful tool but for persons who have say, more than 10 or 15 policies and they want to keep all these policies at one place. I don’t find any utility for you.
