Advice on ELSS through AMC or ELSS from ICICI Direct

I am planning to purchase an equity linked saving scheme. But I am not getting it as to what will be better ELSS through AMC or ELSS through ICICI Direct? Can you please make me understand the difference in these two options so that I can pick out the most profitable option for myself?

ELSS through AMC comes under direct plan which means a lower expense ratio. A lower expense ratio will lead to high returns to the investor. ELSS through ICICI Direct will be a regular plan with a higher expense ratio and finally lower return to the investor.
