I am interested in buying a house that will cost me Rs. 65 lakhs. I have savings equal to this amount. I have though of different options: (a) pay the entire amount of house from my pocket, and (b) pay Rs. 15 lakhs as down payment, borrow Rs. 50 lakhs from SBI for 20 years and invest savings of Rs. 50 lakhs somewhere, but where is the question. Please suggest
You should go with 2nd option. Invest Rs. 10 to 20 lakhs in FD and remaining amount in equity funds for 20 years to enjoy benefit of long term investment.
