Conversion of SBI savings bank account to multi option deposit

I have savings account with SBI and I make it a point to maintain a minimum balance of Rs. 20,000 at all points of time. This is I do for my personal reasons and priorities. I have come across the facility of multi deposit option. I wish to convert my savings account to multi option deposit. What all details, I am required to furnish to the bank to get this conversion done? Will I be charged anything?
