    Yesterday, I tried to open a PPF account in SBI through net banking. Although the process was simple enough but I am struck at one point. Can I choose any branch while opening the account or do I need to select a specific branch which offers the facility of opening PPF account? Can a chosen branch decline to accept an application for this?

    PPF account can be opened at any branch of SBI. Ethically speaking, a branch is listed cannot decline to accept your application, if filled correctly. If the refuse, you can file a complaint against them at https://prepaid.onlinesbi.com/CMS/
