How to stop HDFC from harassing me for relative’s loan

My relative borrowed loan from HDFC and gave my details as reference without informing me. He stopped paying EMIs, changed his location and contact number. Now, the bank is harassing me with threatening calls and derogatory language. They are forcing me to honour his debt to which I was in fact not a party. Please tell me what should I do?

Write to the senior management team of HDFC and quote that if the things will not get better, you will file a case against the bank and the concerned officers. I am sure this will definitely work for you.
