Where should I invest my unused monthly savings

I am indebted to Bank of Baroda for home loan taken from them for 20 years. 5 years have already lapsed. Apart from paying EMIs of Rs. 41,500, I can invest Rs. 10,000 monthly. The idea of investment is long term. Please suggest something to me.

There are in number of options available. You can go for recurring deposits, mutual funds via SIP, PPF, etc. But the right choice of option depends on your risk taking ability and goal of investment.

You can always go for Mutual fund investment where you may take a SIP for 10000 from 2 or 3 AMC. The type of fund depends upon your tenure for which you wish to invest. For longer term I have invested in Equity funds.
